Rōnin Tactics
The Art of Budō
Message to students
Hi everyone, and welcome to Blade Tactics (Volume 1). The tactics and techniques that I will teach you in this and future volumes represents training modules and tactics at the military’s TIP OF THE SPEAR. I have personally researched and developed these techniques and tactics during my time with the Special Forces A-Teams. A lot of these forms were taught to me throughout my time traveling around the world. I have studied different forms of martial arts to enhance my survivability while working in hostile areas around the world. These forms can be lethal and should be performed with extreme caution.
Blade Tactics (Volume 1) is a 45-min block of instructions on edge weapons. (Beginner to Medium skill level) Students will be taught the effective use of a blade at an extreme close-range while under stress. Understand how I took the elements of a ‘Commando Raid’ and applied it to the martial arts. This volume will cover the history, philosophy and mindset behind the blade. Students will understand closing the distance and how this affects timing. This course will teach how to breach the distance with angles and footwork. We will discuss the origins of forms and what styles I would draw from during different levels of a fight. Students will understand negative and positive space and how this can collapse different corners of the body. We will go over different angles of attacks from slashing and thrusting to blocking while meeting or following the force. This course is the basic foundation and a prerequisite for all the future (Edge Weapons) volumes to come.
I hope you enjoy Ronin Tactics’ very first online training module as much as we enjoyed making it for you. Before we start, lets empty the cup and clear the mind- only then can you truly learn.
***YOU WILL ONLY HAVE 90 DAYS UPON TIME OF ENROLLMENT TO COMPLETE THIS COURSE.***
